THE WAIT

“On the top of a mountain, or in the valley low.
Every journey takes you on a path to know
How brightly it is that this light can glow.

And when you reach the juncture in the path.
Unsure of which road to take, and so you ask
This inner light inside you
To be the one that guides you.
As this light knows the destination.
And it knows all the necessary preparation
That is required for you to reach your station.

The mind, however, is confused.
And the ego is rather bemused.
Wondering, why can't it just be clear, which step to take?
To enable beautiful life to make.

The ego and the mind don't have the full picture.
It is the soul that guides the scripture.
The part of you that is one with Us,
The diamond hidden in the rough.

But there are times when the soul doesn't share with the mind.
And you feel you are stuck, in a bind.
Frustrated.
Trying to move.
But in no direction can you find your groove.

And so you come to the understanding
That it is time to wait.
To wait for the unfolding of your fate.
As nothing that you could do will prepare you for this.
And no preparation can enable such bliss.

Sometimes it's okay to wait.
For Us to open the gate.
And We will not show you what's on the other side.
In order to tame your ego’s pride.
As it doesn't serve you to boast or become attached
To what could be when We lift the hatch.

It is okay to wait.
For the unfolding of your fate.
This patience is all that is required
For this magnificence to transpire.
And it will never be what you think it should be.
For if it was, how would your mind be set free?
Free to trust.
To be robust.
And not combust
When this light descends onto you.
And you will understand that all We have been explaining is true.

It is okay to wait.
For the unfolding of your fate.
As some things are, beyond the ego's control,
Even though the ego wants to play a role.
But it has no control in what We give
Nor any control in how long one lives.

The ego must wait,
So that it gets out of the way.
For the unfolding of this glorious play.
