Happiness in the Qur'anThis paper investigates Happiness in the Qur’an and how to attain it during the life of this world. True happiness in Islam is recognition of the ‘unconditioned self’ that is comprised of a Divine essence, but is hidden under layers of the ego, emotions and perceptions of the world and one’s identity. It is through being conscious of God (Taqwa) and the notion of Oneness (Taweed) that one is able to witness and experience God and His Divine attributes, and therefore attain happiness.

They are not a replacement to any other form of therapy, medical intervention, or religion, and are only complementary. The by-product of alignment with Divinity through an experience, might enable release, however, we always recommend that one should address any discomfort, be it internal or external, at all levels of their being, including physically, emotionally, mentally, energetically and spiritually.
